AWENE: a bilingual coaching platform that turns publishing, registration and follow-up into one connected system.
AWENE supports women navigating perimenopause and menopause across Tunisia, the MENA region and Europe. OJC Labs built the public platform and its operating layer as one system: a bilingual Next.js frontend, a headless WordPress content backend, a custom plugin for AWENE-specific workflows, controlled API routes, Brevo-connected communication and technical SEO infrastructure.
OJC / CASE STUDY
The problem
AWENE needed a digital operating system, not a collection of pages.
Before the build, AWENE had no dedicated CMS or structured system for managing articles, events, formations, registrations, confirmations, post-event recaps or satisfaction feedback. French and English content had to stay aligned without sharing the wrong locale data, an upcoming event and a completed event are not the same content state, and backend endpoints could not be allowed to leak into public forms or content. The architecture began with the lifecycle, then assigned the correct responsibility to each layer.

Systems built.
What we built.
Bilingual Next.js frontend
The public site was built as a Web and CMS system on Next.js, with separate French and English versions of every page. Articles, events, formations, coaching pages and core information pages each get their own clean, language-specific web address rather than switching language awkwardly inside one page. That gave AWENE one website to maintain, while each language still gets to own its own copy and publishing schedule.
A content system editors can actually use
Behind the public site sits a content management system built on WordPress, customised specifically for AWENE: dedicated tools for events, formations, registrations, post-event recaps, satisfaction forms and responses. Editors publish and manage everything from a familiar, easy-to-use dashboard, while the public website that visitors see stays fast, consistent and independent of it.
Event and formation lifecycle system
Events and formations were built as a full lifecycle, not a static listing. An upcoming event shows its date, time, location, format and available spots with a registration option; once it's over, that same event turns into a recap with write-ups, documents, photos, video and feedback from attendees. Formations follow the same idea, while keeping the sign-up page separate from the after-the-fact recap. This is what makes the platform a real content operating system: publishing, sign-ups, and follow-up all live in one connected workflow instead of separate manual tasks.
A safe, reliable path for every form submission
Every form on the site — contact, newsletter, event and formation registration, satisfaction — is checked and handled the same reliable way before the information is stored or a confirmation goes out, the same approach we use across our Automation and Data systems. That keeps submissions consistent and the underlying systems protected, without visitors ever noticing the extra layer of care.
Brevo-connected email workflows
Registration confirmations and audience notifications are connected to Brevo, so the right email goes out automatically in the right language, pointing people to the right page — the same lifecycle approach behind OJC Labs Email and CRM systems. A registration or a new publication can trigger the right message without anyone having to write and send it by hand.
Technical SEO and search infrastructure
OJC Labs implemented a full technical SEO and indexing system across every page type: correct page titles and descriptions, the right French/English language signals, social sharing previews, and an always-current sitemap so search engines can find and understand every page. We then use Google Search Console to check what Google is actually showing, instead of assuming the setup is working perfectly on its own.
Measured search impact.
Visibility accelerated while the next SEO constraint became visible.
| Metric | First 30 days | Last 30 days | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Impressions | 3,201 | 9,484 | 2.96× |
| Clicks | 8 | 20 | 2.5× |
| Average daily impressions | 106.7 | 316.1 | 2.96× |
| Impression-weighted position | 7.01 | 5.06 | Improved 1.95 positions |
Across the full three-month Google Search Console export (17,766 impressions, 33 clicks, 0.19% overall CTR, 14,633 mobile impressions — 82.4% of total visibility), the last 30 days alone generated 53.4% of all impressions. That is a clear signal: search visibility accelerated during the period, and average ranking position improved by nearly two full positions.
The same data identifies the next constraint. Approximately 90.2% of impressions came from the query awene, while non-branded menopause and perimenopause queries remained minimal, and the page report shows both root and www host variants alongside legacy, non-localised paths still receiving visibility. The architecture is not invalidated by this — it shows that host consolidation, redirects, canonical validation and legacy-route cleanup are the next phase, alongside broader non-branded topical content.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
What did OJC Labs build for AWENE?
OJC Labs built AWENE as a complete bilingual digital platform, not a brochure website. The system combines a fast Next.js frontend, a headless WordPress CMS, custom event and formation management, online registrations, satisfaction forms, automated Brevo emails and technical SEO infrastructure. AWENE's team can manage content and programmes from one operational system while visitors get a consistent experience in French and English.
Why combine headless WordPress with Next.js?
Headless WordPress gives the content team a familiar interface for managing pages, articles, events and formations. Next.js controls the public experience, giving OJC Labs greater control over performance, design, multilingual routing and technical SEO. This separation keeps the editorial convenience of WordPress without forcing the public website to depend on a traditional WordPress theme.
Can OJC Labs build multilingual websites with technical SEO included?
Yes. For AWENE, OJC Labs built dedicated French and English routes with locale-specific content, canonical tags, hreflang, structured data, social metadata and automated sitemaps. These foundations help search engines understand which page belongs to each language and market. Multilingual SEO is part of the platform architecture from the beginning, not a translation plugin added after launch.
Can forms, registrations and automated emails work as one system?
Yes. AWENE's contact forms, newsletters, event registrations, formation registrations and satisfaction forms are validated, stored in the right place and connected to automated confirmation or notification emails. This creates a clearer journey for visitors and reduces the manual work needed to manage registrations and follow-up.
Is this type of platform suitable for our organisation?
This approach works especially well for organisations that publish regularly, operate in multiple languages, run events or training programmes, collect registrations and need automated communication. OJC Labs maps the complete workflow before recommending a stack, so the platform is designed around how the organisation actually works.
